Located
in the center of the scenic seacoast of New Hampshire and
Southern Maine, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers just the
right balance of challenging work and educational opportunities
within a supportive network of skilled professionals.
Ranked
among the top hospitals nationwide for patient satisfaction
and high quality services, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is
a 178-bed licensed, acute-care hospital offering a wide range
of services including specialty programs for cancer, diabetes,
emergency, cardiology, integrative therapy, surgery, rehab,
sleep disorders, birthing, home care and hospice and wound
healing.
Our
Seacoast Cancer Center, an affiliate with Dana-Farber/CancerCare
network, offers a comprehensive program of radiation and medical
oncology services including a full complement of support services
designed to meet the special needs of patients and their families.
The Heart Care Center provides multiple services including
a Cardiac Cath Lab, Pacemaker Clinic, SPECT imaging and Nuclear-Cardiology.
The Birth Center offers couples approaching the challenges
of childbirth with choices along the way such as: water birth,
hynobirthing, 24-hour epidural service plus lactation consultation
prior to and after delivery.
Wentworth-Douglass
Hospital's wage package is highly competitive and our benefits
are higher than the average of all other hospitals in the
area. Many employees benefit from the Early Learning Center
's child care services for children six weeks to six years
of age located right on the hospital campus.
Opportunities
to learn and grow are almost incomparable. The Loan Reimbursement
program provides up to $2,500 per year for tuition payment
for employees entering nursing and other specific healthcare
fields. In addition the hospital provides $2,000 per year
in tuition reimbursement for employees continuing their education.
The hospital's involvement in the Corporate University (a
consortium of local industries and hospitals) provides the
rare opportunity to develop team building and management skills
on hospital time at hospital cost.
Specialized
nursing opportunities include exceptional orientation/internship
programs in each clinical area, a clinical ladder, flexible
hours, specialty certification differentials and clinical
educators on each unit and on second shift. Emergency nurses
are very involved in local and national EMS programs. Our
hospital was the first Level 2 trauma center in the region
and continues to be recognized for excellence in emergency
medicine.
We
are a community hospital with a medical center focus on skill
development and a strong belief that caring is at the core
of all we do. For more information about our hospital or job
